I eat here monthly and I am always happy that there is such an incredible vegetarian/vegan selection of items at a reasonable price..I spend less here than going to a regular restaurant. Highly recommend the soups and the salad/hot bar.

Great food selection and produce. Bakery and delicatessen part are amazing. Those cherry pies and mango chicken wraps and salads are to die for!!!

I’ve had Challah from LA to NY but the Challah that comes out of the bakery fresh in Ames on Friday is by-far the ultimate BEST!! I love it 🥰 and everyone that tries it does too! Get it fresh out of the oven and it’s really super delicious 😋 I get two loaves because It goes fast. But if you have any leftovers it makes great French toast.

Healthy items. Some things you can get cheaper elsewhere but many items that you can't find anywhere elsewhere nearby. You can get real peanut butter here and do it yourself! I really like this store.

Was super busy during our visit! We were looking for quick light late lunch/afternoon snack. Nothing seemed to strike our fancy! Love the variety of trail mixes and the mean and cheese deli is to die for! They do offer some outta this world ready made sandwiches, made from their products! Very friendly staff, check out was super nice and thanks us for shopping Wheatsfield and to come again! You don't hear that very often!

Great little co-op! The produce all seemed fresh! Lots of cool products that you can't find in most of your normal grocers. The prices seemed fair. I would definitely shop here regularly if I lived in the area.

I've lived in Ames for over 12 years now, and Wheatsfield has consistently been one of my favorite food stores. The staff are friendly and helpful, always willing to assist you in getting the info and products you need. You can find a lot of healthy, nutritious options for the health-conscious consumer. If you become a co-op member there are Member Discount Months every 3 months or so which can get you up to 15% off your purchase. Highly recommended!

Quite possibly the most awesome store in Ames. If they dont carry it, they can probably get it. Newly remodeled, extra friendly staff, places to lock up bikes, hot food bar, indoor/ outdoor seating, meat and seafood counters, etc.

Excellent local community grocery store for high-tier foods and such. Significantly less processed food comes at a price, this is not a Walmart or discount broker. Friendly staff and great selection

A terrific option in Ames, unique inventory, excellent customer service. Big parking lot. Love their products, delicious, bread. Tip: good place to grab a bite inside.
